There are two types of information that we obtain from users online, and then store and use:
- non-personal identification information that’s collected automatically;
- personal identification information that users voluntarily provide to us
We do not collect any personal information from users when they visit our sites unless they expressly and voluntarily participate in an activity that asks for it and they voluntarily provide it.
Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when users visit our site, subscribe to our courses, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site. Users may visit our site anonymously.
We will collect personal identification information from users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain site related activities.
We use this data for communication purposes and to provide our services to users. For the purposes of educational courses attended online, the data that is collected by The CX Academy is used to plan and manage the event for which they are registered, as well as to email relevant details about the courses. We also use the data to provide services requested, process requests and orders (such as a booking via invoice), to conduct customer satisfaction surveys to help improve our products, or to provide users with information on products, services and promotions (which users can opt out of at any time.)
Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about users whenever they interact with our site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about users means of connection to our site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

In addition to the above, The CX Academy may collect and use users’ personal information for the following purposes:
- To improve customer service
Information users provide helps us respond to customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
- To personalize user experience
We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on our site.
- To improve our site
We may use feedback that users provide to improve our products and services.
- To send periodic emails
We may use the email address users provide to respond to their enquiries, questions, and/or other requests. If a user decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the user would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or a user may contact us via our site.
How we protect users’ information
Users’ Personal Data is held on secure servers hosted by our data processors. The nature of the Internet is such that we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us via the Internet. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, we will take all reasonable steps (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) to protect users’ Personal Data.
Sharing users’ personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal identification information to others.
Third party and Partner Learning Management Systems
To deliver our courses it is essential that we upload and store basic minimum personal data on restricted third-party Learning Management Systems. These Learning Management Systems and services have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. The third-party LMS company we currently use is Northpass who are an active participant in the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.
Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
Credit Card Information
We do not store any specific credit card information.
